Word of advise: This is only my personal opinion & I have no intention to upset, discriminate or ostracized anyone.

" I will kill anybody who is part of my family, if he or she has a tattoo! ", said my late father (may the lord have mercy on his soul).
This morning in class, we had a debate on tattoo and I personally have nothing against tattoo. I know that tattoo is a form of body art but even if it means losing someone I love, I, myself will not get a tattoo.
From young, I have been taught to not like tattoo. It has been a very strict rule that is imposed within our family. In my own opinion, tattoo has and will always be associated with gangster, rebels, etc. Especially, those chinese or malay or indian who has lots of it, big patches on their body!!!
But if you are someone which fits this category, and you come out to me & chat and be nice with me, I will not hesitate to talk with you back because I like conversation (not really, I only like to listen & debate back! Hahas). Even though of that, I will feel very uncomfortable!!! (but I promise I wont ostrasize you)
But if you are the one who has tattoos to commomerate your lost loved ones or such, then, the more I will have nothing against you but just a word of advise, You could do other things to commomerate such.
I am lucky to be born in this century where ppl are open-minded to such things & that made my mind at ease abit but if you ask me to put on a tattoo, I am so sorry but I have to decline (god knows wat that word means, Hahas).
If my sons or daughters put on tattoos, I will not hesitate to use a knife to scrape the tattoos off or give them a lazer-treatment that will make them suffer. But if it is my spouse, I will have no regret if you do hav tattoos (old one that is), but I will encourage them not to put anymore and hopefully not to teach our kids to do such things.
Here are some reasons on why I am hesitant or somehow dislike tattoos:
- IT IS AGAINTS my religion, & my family rules.
- Some tattoos bearer associate themselves with gangster (FYI, I hate gangster).
- Yes, tattoos may look nice on your skin when you're young, but it wont look that nice when you grow old.
- If not taken properly (actually, even if you did) , you will get infected by god knows what disease.
- It is taboo in MANY countries & communities.
- If you put a tattoo of your bf or gf's name, what will happen if they ditch you? wouldnt the name will be like rubbing salt to your wound?
But seriously, if you do have a tattoo now, I will not ostrasize you like anything, I will be your friend unless you proof other wise. Peace y'all
